These three components can be executed on almost any computer with Windows, even one that looks quite impossible. A browser like Firefox or Internet Explorer is needed to test the web programs but it is not at all necessary to have a live Internet connection.

 

Now, Apache which is most popularly used web server in the world. It is possible to operate Apache with MySQL and PHP, and the programs can be tested on a single computer and in a live environment.

 

PHP is a program that is server-based and functions under Apache. The best thing about it is that you only need one computer to run PHP and design, develop and test your website. You might have to pay extra charges to your web hosting company for Linux and MySQL support and services. Linux provides a professional working environment than Windows computers as per the claims of few web masters. Others opt for the familiar Microsoft Windows. The choice is all yours.
